Power Up Tutorial

I introduce about contents of Power Up Tutorial in department of British and American studies.

Before the class, you must do homewok. you can get them on NUFS's web page, but they are changed by each weeks, so you must be careful to print out properly.

Homework is separated to three parts, the parts. The part of questions about the article of the topic, and questions about your experiences or yourself, and making sentences with new words. You should do all of them to enjoy the class.

After doing that, let's attnd the class. First, the teacher gives you a number card. The number card is given at random, so you don't know them. After receiving it, you go to the box of the number. Then, you will meet two other friends and a teacher. After gathering, the teacher starts to a conversation, with easy questions like "What's new with you?", so you can get information about friends or teachers freely. The teachers correct sentences which you made, so the sentences should be made by youself to improve your grammer skills.

Don't be afraid of your mistakes because the teacher never be angry of them. You will enjoy the class of power up tutorial.

Japanese greetings

I will talk about Japanese greetings.
There are some original acts in Japan.
I　want to introduce some of them.

In japan, we don't hug or kiss so many times as greetings
to deepen relationships with someone.

Instead of these, we usually bow or shake hands each other
with saying "hello".

If you meet someone who you want to get along with,
you should do to them. That will your friendship better.

In addition to, saying "Itadakimasu" before eating and
"Gochisosama" after eating is also a traditional custom.

When you do these, you join your palms together in front of food.

Both of them mean gratitude for food,cooks,producers,
and all of things which support our lives.

We can know and confirm what a happy it is to be able to eat
through saying these words!

Oktoberfest in German has its origin in wedding of a prince. On the day of wedding, horse racing took place. Prince loved ancient Greece, so the place was like that. It was very popular among people. So the king decided that this festival should take place every year. This is a model of the modern Olympics.

In 1883, because of the Napoleonic war, Oktoberfest was canceled. But it moved to Munich after 3 years. And gradually, it became bigger. It was canceled many times because of wars. Otherwise, it was spread to all over the world.

Drayton Manor Theme Park













Good afternoon everyone. My name is Akane and, our group is going to talk about Drayton Manor Theme Park. Do you know Drayton Manor ? It is in the UK, near Tamworth in Staffordshire. Our group is going to talk about The History of Drayton Manor , How to get here, Thrill Rides, Thomas Land, and Zoo.
First let me talk about the history of Drayton Manor Theme Park. Drayton Manor Theme Park opened to the public on October 16, 1949. It covers 280 acres of land, and is visited by over million people annually. In 2006, the park received two awards: ‘Best UK Attraction’ awarded by Group Leisure and ‘UK Attraction of the Year’ awarded by Coach Tourism.

There are many thrill　rides in Drayton manor. The most popular thrill rides is Shockwave. It is the only stand-up coaster in Europe. It drops quickly and screws again and again!! It looks really exciting!! Of course other thrill rides look really exciting too. Fir example, Maelstrom, Stormforce, and G Force so on. If you know more detail, you should access their web page. Hello, my name is Miki. I am going to introduce Thomas land at Drayton Manor Park! I think that everyone knows Thomas. This is the Thomas area. It was set in 6000 square meters and there are 12 wonderful rides, and an indoor play area and a shop filled with Thomas&friends Exibition because we can not only experience the original set as TV show but also have a ride on Thomas and go for a wild adventure on the Trucks Runaway Coaster! Neverthless Thomas fan or not, this area will present for you a really fun time.

Hello, my name is Hitomi, I will introduce to you the zoo at Drayton Manor Park. There are over 100 species animals and which are not seen in Japan. We can learn about animals more if we receive Discovery Centre. This session is integrated with a tour of Drayton Manor Zoo, and we can understand about all areas of animals, for example habitats feeding variety of life living things lifecycles and so on. Discovery Centre sessions start at just £3.50 per pupil with 1 teacher. In Japan about 700 yen. I recommend you go to the zoo in Drayton Manor with your family, if you marry and have your children.

In addition to it, we can also study english by using this movie because simple english is used in. For not only watching, but also learning english, I recommend this movie.
